TKAMB Chapters 12-14

In Chapter 12, Scout notices that Jem is growing up, and starts leaving her behind. Jem is almost a grown man, and does not need to play childish games with his little sister. Scout has trouble understanding things like this, that's why I believe she feels so alone. Once she starts growing up, she will understand how maturity works.
Chapter 13 introduces Alexandra, Atticus's sister. Alexandra sees Scout and is very upset that she is like another boy. She tells Scout to become a lady, not a man. I think that Alexandra is just trying to help Attcius raise Scout to be a girl. Scout even dresses like she is a boy! When Atticus gets offended by Alexandra trying to help, she even points that out to him. I think that Scout will definitely mature and change throughtout the rest of the book.
Chapter 14 relates to Chapters 12 & 13. Scout starts fighting with Alexandra because she does not want to dress like a girl, or stop doing fun things with the boys. She wants Jem and her to have fun like they always do. Scout will learn soon that you can not stay young forever, and just do whatever. She will have to grow up sooner or later.
