I felt bad that Tom died. I don't understan why he felt the need to run away when Atticus told him that he had a good chance of winning. What Scout said about people being hypocrites makes sense. During aunt alexandra's meeting all of the ladies act differently than they normally would. This also relates to the courthouse. All of those men knew that Tom was innocent but sent him to jail anyway. Everything in this book is carried out in a way that makes people likable in society's perspective.
