I think that Calpurnia was brave in taking the kids to a colored church. Lula had as much right as anyone else to speak her mind, even if no one agreed with her. I sympathize with the kids' dread at finding their aunt there; she doesn't seem very nice. She also doesn't seem very fair to Atticus; she doesn't realize he's been doing the best that he can with the kids.
Dill is quite sneaky, hiding under scouts bed. But I't understandable that he might want to get away from his mother and 'father' I think that Aunt Rachel, however unhappy about Dill's appearance, is willing to help him survive living with his mother.
