The discoveries of the soap in the tree is a bit odd. Who ever put them there would have to have ben either A) close with the kids, or B) a stranger who knows of them and would like to be thier friend. Whoever it is, if they are searching for friendship, should probally go about it in a different manner.
Miss. Maudies reaction to the snowman the kids created was priceless. It's unfortunate that her house burned. I think that she's right about having a chance of a new start, though. she seems happy to have a new place to stay, however unfortunate she makes it out to be.
