In chapters 12-14 in TKAM we learn about the different sides people have- the ones they show to the world and the one only seen by friends and family. Scout is also enamoured with Dill- she says that she felt a longing for him.i..she doesn't really understand love and attraction but has an attachment to dill.Aunt Alexandria has a deep seeded hate for Valpirnia and tries to get her fired.Atticus for the most apart accepts her presence but puts his foot down at her attempts to oust Calpurnia from the family because she is as much a parent to jem and scout as he is.
