To Kill A Mockingbird

I think that Atticus didn't bother to tell his kids that he had to defend Tom Robinson whether he wanted to or not because it didn't make a difference because he was going to defend him anyways. I like how Atticus tries to show the jury/judge that Tom is innocent because every other lawyer would have just told Tom to plead guilty and suffer the consequences. In these chapters you learn a lot about Atticus' character because he continues to stand up for his beliefs even when his life is put into danger.
