TKAMK: 17&18&19

The trial chapters have just started and mr. Tate is on the witness stand and said that he was called by mr. Ewell to see what happened. He said that she had been badly beaten. And later in the chapters Tom Robinson says that mr. Ewell called his daughter a whore( something like that) because she kissed Tom Robinson. So I think that mr. Ewell beat her up after seeing her kiss Tom. Ewells daughter was lying but Tom said she was just confused.  Atticus doesn't have any of his own witnesses that can help him other than Tom Robinson, so he's in a tough patch. Tom also said he felt bad for her. So that made the crowd angry. Scout didn't understand much, but she understand more than dill because they are starting to get used to it while dill is still new to the whole situation.
