Tkan chapters 18-20

I think you could cut the tension in these chapters with a knife. When Mayella Ewell took the stand you could tell she was a no good lier. But back then a white women or mans word was believed over a black mans word. You could tell by the way Tom Robinson answered Mr. Gilmers  questions that he was one hundred percent telling the truth but still most did not believe him only because he was black and a white person accused him of rape. This is a sad reminder of how ignerent and uninformed most people were back then about another mans skin color. I also learned from these chapters how strongly these whites felt about the color of ones skin.
