TKAM Chapters: 18,19,20

Chapter 18: In this chapter racism is clearly shown. All evidence points to Bob Ewell, but everyone refuses to aknowledge it. Also, Mayella is very inconsistent with her so call "true" stories that are very unrealistic. Such as being choked by Tom Robinson, which couldnt have been done due to his disability. This relates to the trial we read in class with the nine boys. Its for attention and to be bumped up on the class scale. I predict that something is going to happen to Bob Ewell. That someone is going to open their eyes and realize the truth causing them to do something about it

Chapter 19: I find it interesting how out of all people Dill is the one that is affected most by the trial. Being that he has been quiet throughtout the whole trial so far it shocks me how his emotions get the best of him. Also, its sad how a young boy is able to realize what is morally right or wrong and grown adults are unable to do so.

Chapter 20: Just like Boo Radely Mr. Dolphune is a misunderstood man. People are so quick to judge they don't get to know the person. However, children know nothing of the sort. They are a clean slate, thats why it is easier for them to understand that what is happening to Tom Robinson is wrong.
