Tkam chapters 10-11

In chapters 10-11 scout and Jem go to they you store and Jem buys scout a baton and he destroyed Mrs. Duboses flowers. For doing this Jem had to read to her every day for a month. Each day the alarm would go longer when he read to her as well. After he was done reading to her she died some time later. We learn the reason she made him read to her was because she was morphine addict and she wanted to kick it before she died . As a result of this Jem and scout learn that they need to be responsible for their actions and they learned what real courage was after Mrs. Dubose kicked her addiction before she died.
