So around these chapters, Scout starts school and develops sort of a testy relationship with her teacher in my view. They had arguments on the topic of how scout learned how to read, the teacher claiming that Scout learned from Atticus and Scout saying that she always knew how to read. I find this an example of Scout being an unreliable narrator. "Claiming" that she always knew how to read is absurd, perhaps she doesn't want to admit that Atticus was wrong to teach her, or maybe she actually believes that she was born with the ability to read. Either way, I find this one of the many examples of Scout being an unreliable narrator.
