To Kill a Mockingbird 15-17

In these chapters, it seems as though Atticus faces many struggles for defending Tom Robinson. The crowds forming outside his door I thought it was very extreme. Everyone judges him for his  beliefs about equal races. Granted during that time period segregation was at an all time high, but it makes me feel bad for Scout and Jem having to witness their father go through all this criticism. Dill is their to help support them but he doesnt understand what is really going on, considering he ran away from home because he thinks his parents are ignoring him in their room but they really are up to something else. I thought Atticus would have been mad at the fact his kids snuck out to see him but he did not seemed bothered. He defended his children and will not back down from his beliefs.
