To Kill a Mocking Bird Ch. 7,8,9

In chapter 7 we learn more about what happens with Jem and his pants and he finally opens up to scout about what happened that night which shows that he wants her to know and can trust her. Also scout and Jem kept finding things in the tree such as string and oddly a soap carving of themselves which is very creepy. One day they went back to the hole and it was filled in because mr. Radley said it was dying but Atticus said the tree was perfectly healthy so why did he fill it in? Did mr. Radley know who was filling the hole with goods and want to stop them? Was is Boo? In chapter 8, mrs. Maudie's house burns down and scout get covers with a blanket. Atticus said that it was Boo Radley that covered her and scout gets freaked out. But I'm still suspicious about all the stuff that has happened and wonders if it is Boo, like the tree, Jem's pants, and the blanket. Lastly, when the trial is introduced in chapter 9 tension starts and scout starts swearing. Chapter 9 seems like a turning point in the book because it opened up into the trial. I can't wait to see what happens on the rest of the book after the trial starts and how scout will further react about her dad defending a black man for raping a white women.
