Could someone be leaving presents for Jem and Scout in the knot-hole of the tree?
The part where Jem, Scout, and Dill are acting out the Radley's history, it shows the imaginative side to children.
The thought of hearing someone laughing and not being able to see who is quite frightening; especially for a young child such as Scout.
Chapter 5- "...a foot-washing Baptist-" is quite odd by Miss Maudie's description. The whole conversation that she has with Scout is interesting.
