How To Kill A Mockingbird

I liked the punishment that Mrs. Dubose picked for Jem. This is because she picked one where Jem would not realize he is helping someone tremendously that he does not care for. I think this was smart on her part because she would not have to tell them about her addiction. Also, I like when Atticus tells Jem that he would've sent Jem to read to Mrs. Dubose even if she didn't ask.  This shows that Atticus is a good parent because he is punishing his kid for doing bad things and helping out others who need it. I also liked how Mrs. Dubose left Jem the camellia after she died because it symbolized her relationship with Jem.
