In chapter nine the diversity not only between boys and girls but also the racism really made me uneasy and uncomfortable to read about.When Atticus decides to defend a black man he gets a lot of flak...even from family.I feel empathetic towards Scout for the fact that this is going on around her and she doesn't fully understand why it's happening.
