In chapters four and five, I thought that they were very interesting because it starts to show the differences between Jem and Scout. Scout is very wary about messing with Boo Radley in this chapter while Jem, along with Dill, are being more adventurous about seeing Boo Radley. So this leads to Scout to talk with Miss Maudie while Jem and Dill made plans about what they were going to do, and even though Scout said she missed playing with Jem she also liked Miss Maudie's company. This caused Jem and Scout to grow apart a little bit. I also think that Dill was a pest in these chapters because he did make up these grand stories that never happened. For example when Dill was caught because first he said his father had a long black beard and then he never had a beard, that made him be unreliable person. He was a large influence on Jem and his behavior because when Scout was told about the plan to get Boo Radley, Dill said it was his idea. Also I liked this chapter because it showed how Scout looks up to Jem. This was shown whenever Scout was called a 'girl' and she said that she didn't like being called that.
