Chapters 5-6
When Miss Maudie was talking about how Radleys were 'Foot Washing Baptists', I felt like it was very confusing. She was trying to explain why the Radleys were never active and barely left their home. She said it was because they were extremely religious and felt that everything they did was a sin. However, if they were extremely religious, they should at least be outside once and a while, and according to Miss Maudie's story, despite that they're religious, they should've tried to convert people or baptize others in rivers, like other highly religious people do. This idea simply doesn't add up.
Chapters 7-9
In Chapter 7, it was told that Mr. Nathan Radley covered up the hole in the tree because it was 'getting sick', however, the tree didn't really look sick at all. I believe that Boo Radley could've been behind leaving items for the kids in the tree. It is pretty obvious that he cares about them. Even in Chapter 8, Boo Radley gave Scout a blanket when she wasn't looking. Possibly, Boo Radley is forced to keep from having any friends by Nathan Radley, so in order to feel like having friends, he does these good deeds for Scout and Jem.
