In the second and third chapter of "To Kill a Mocking Bird" Scout and Jem invited Walter Cunningham over, because in school he didn't have enough money for lunch so they invited him over for dinner. Scout and Jem's mom actually didn't like it at all because he was a Cunningham, but they stood up for him. Also, in Scouts new class he met a boy named Burris Ewell who would smart talk the teacher and threaten to leave class, which shocked me that someone that young can have so much attitude.
