To Kill a Mockingbird: Chapter 1
Just by reading the first few chapters, I can already tell that I am going to like this book. I like how the author was very vivid with her details; it made me feel as if I was actually there as I was reading. I also liked how she really showed how different things were in that time period, like when she said that "the sheriff hadn't had the heart to put [Boo Radley] in jail alongside the Negroes, so [he] was locked in the courthouse basement." I really want to learn more about the Radley's and their story because that part of the story really interested me. But overall, I am excited to read on and find out what will happen next.
